Summer Intensive Workshop 2012
The audition is to be held on February 18, 2012 at Tampa Bay Ballet. Registration begins at 10:30am. Intermediate students
will audition at 11:00am and advanced students will begin at 1:00pm. Only 30 dancers will be accepted into each division.
Financial Aid Scholarships are available to qualifying students. Please email Lindsay@tampabayballet.com if you are interested in applying for a financially based scholarship. Please remit the application as soon as possible to apply for a
scholarship and/or insure placement into the program.
Video applications are due by March 3rd, 2012. All acceptance notifications will be mailed to the applicants within three weeks.
Upon acceptance into the program, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total tuition will be due on or by May 26, 2012.
The remaining balance will be due on or by June 25, 2012. To audition by mail please send a recent head shot of the dancer,
a photograph of the dancer in first arabesque (on pointe if applicable) along with a DVD of the applicant executing ballet
technique. DVD must be no longer than 12 minutes and include a short introduction of the dancer as well as the following
exercises at the barre and center: Plie, tendu, développé, grand battement, center adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro, grand
allegro. If the dancer is en pointe please include the following exercises in the center: échappé with passé retire and pique
turns with chainée tour. Dancers who are applying by mail should also send a letter of recommendation along with the
attached audition application and a $15 audition/application fee to the address below.
